What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is performed to remove stubborn pockets of fat that typically do not respond to dieting or exercise. The procedure is effective in trimming fatty bulges all over the physique for a slimmer, more youthful presentation. SAFE lipo

Dr. Burgdorf performs SAFE (Separation, Aspiration, Fat Equilibration) liposuction using a powered-assisted device. With this approach, he is able to better sculpt the tissue, avoiding the aggressive bruise-inflicting tactics required with the manual technique, where the cannula is repeatedly thrust inside the patient.

Awake lipo 

Awake lipo, performed using a tumescent solution of saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine, allows Dr. Burgdorf to remove stubborn, unwanted pockets of fat with minimal side effects, discomfort, or downtime. Because local anesthesia is used instead of general anesthesia, there is no risk of nausea, vomiting, fatigue, constipation, or other complications.
